Newcomers and Neighbors Club’s Learn About Nevada group meeting at Rosewood Nature Study Area. Jennifer Jay, artist and Lahontan Audubon Society volunteer, will lead workshop on the practice of sketch journaling with examples from her sketchbooks of local places of interest before we practice sketching birds and wildlife found in the Great Basin using the 70+ taxidermy mounts within the Visitor Center. By creating a sketch journal, you can deepen your observations, presence, and connection to your surroundings.
